Working closely with our Customer Engagement Team, Pond Planet selected Klaviyo as their new ESP, a decision rooted in its deep Shopify integration and strong automation capabilities.
To ensure the migration was not just smooth but strategically transformative we delivered a seamless integration between Klaviyo and Shopify, ensuring live syncing of customer profiles, order histories, and behavioural data. As well as migrating and enhancing automation flows, building advanced versions of existing campaigns, including abandoned basket, browse abandonment, and back in stock flows, all optimised for conversion. We also implemented data driven segmentation, laying the groundwork for highly personalised campaigns that reach the right customer, at the right time, with the right message.
This approach didn’t just replace a tool, it redefined Pond Planet’s entire email marketing strategy, enabling sustainable growth and higher customer lifetime value.
The impact of the migration was immediate, and dramatic.
Over a seven week comparison period, Pond Planet saw exceptional growth across every key performance metric. Campaign revenue surged from £2,773 in 2024 to £23,252 on the Klaviyo platform in 2025, representing a more than sevenfold increase.
Automation flows also saw a remarkable uplift, with average weekly revenue rising from £287 to £2,305 across all flows. Even when excluding basket abandonment emails, flow revenue still averaged at £513 per week, highlighting the strength of Klabiyo’s enhanced segmentation and automation capabilities.
This performance spike was driven by improved deliverability, smarter targeting, and more advanced automation flows.
If this trajectory continues, Pond Planet is projected to generate £213,861 in automation driven revenue over the next eight years, a 78.7% increase compared to historical performance on the previous platform.
