Evergreen Direct is a North Yorkshire-based, family-run retailer with over 20 years of experience in artificial greenery. Known for their botanically accurate faux plants, trees, and hedges, they provide low-maintenance, high-impact decor for both homes and commercial spaces.
Their reputation for quality, value, and outstanding customer service has made them a go-to brand in the UK artificial plant market. However, with a major site migration to WooCommerce on the horizon, Evergreen Direct faced a serious operational challenge and a potential performance risk.
Site migrations are complex and inherently risky, especially for established eCommerce brands with active affiliate programmes. Technical inconsistencies can disrupt tracking, leading to misattributed sales and damaged relationships with partners who rely on accurate commission data.
For Evergreen Direct, any downtime or data loss during the transition could directly affect revenue and partner trust. At the same time, the resource-intensive nature of a migration made it difficult to focus on growth or new opportunities.
To ensure success, we split the strategy into two key phases: Migration and Onboarding.
Migration phase: Safeguarding the affiliate channel
Our priority was protecting the affiliate programme throughout the transition. Thanks to strong, longstanding relationships across the affiliate network, we were able to act quickly, communicating critical updates, coordinating technical access, and pre-empting potential issues.
Working closely with Evergreen Direct's internal team, and leveraging our extensive experience with site migrations, we were able to quickly implement and validate tracking solutions once the new WooCommerce site went live. This allowed for accurate conversion attribution to be established swiftly, minimising disruption for partners.
Open communication and rapid query resolution were essential, helping us maintain partner confidence throughout.
Simultaneously, we focused on affiliate expansion. Using our broad publisher portfolio and strong industry relationships, we introduced Evergreen Direct to new, relevant partners who may have taken longer to engage with a newly migrated brand.
This proactive approach allowed us to not only preserve performance, but accelerate it, using the momentum of the relaunch as a growth catalyst.
