Miss Macaroon is no ordinary online bakery and that’s exactly how they want it.
Founded by Rosie Ginday, this Birmingham-based social enterprise bakes hand-made, gluten-free French macaroons in a collection of flavours. However, the real magic takes place behind the scenes. Every bit of profit is totally reinvested into training and employment opportunities for young people facing barriers to work.
With that in mind, when Miss Macaroon came to Visualsoft needing a new website, we knew we weren’t just helping to sell premium macaroons; we were supporting their mission to change lives.
As Miss Macaroon’s brand gained popularity, inevitably, the demands of their website became apparent. Originally built on WooCommerce, their site had done the job the brand had needed in the early days, but signs were showing that it was being put under increasing stress.
As more bespoke product lines were released, alongside the addition of personalisation and other gifting options (ranging from Pantone-matched wedding flavours to corporate hampers), the website needed more functionality so that it could handle the heavier lifting. And with an important event on the horizon, time wasn’t on their side.
Their needs were clear. They needed a platform that could sufficiently manage their products which would be fast, flexible and reliable. That’s when they came to Visualsoft, as our expert team can deliver exactly what they were looking for.
