In 2022, we launched our brand new optimised payments service, VS Pay, but this evolutionary addition to the Visualsoft service wouldn’t have been possible without our partner, Stripe. If you haven’t heard of Stripe, they’re the leading providers of online payment services, scaling to any business size, purpose-built to take out the complexities of payments, whether it’s dealing with multiple currencies, or speeding up the time it takes to checkout.
Before VS Pay, our developers had found managing the fragmented, resource-intensive system a bit too cumbersome, losing time that could have been spent developing core products. This is not ideal when you’re looking to grow, which is why we needed a standardised payment processing system that could be adopted by any online retailer, across the world. As our Vice President of Partners, Ed Harries, said “we want to minimise the barriers to entry for people to adopt the platform.” The way forward was a white label payment solution that would be universally accessible for shoppers and online retailers.
Back in 2022, we first started working with Stripe, particularly taking advantage of Stripe Connect, combining it with our own expertise to create VS Pay. This allowed us to directly bill our clients based on their transactions and card payment activity. Streamlining our access to the flow of funds and giving retailers a rapid-deployment payment solution, designed for a better customer experience, with offloaded features like retailer loss protection delegated to Stripe.
98% authorisation rate with VS Pay drives up to 35% conversion increase
Within six months VS Pay was ready to go live, and the platform has already achieved a 98% authorisation rate, with conversions up 35%. Taking an intuitive approach, we have fundamentally changed the whole customer experience, supporting over 40 different payment methods, including Apple Pay and Google Pay, Afterpay/Clearpay, and Klarna. Bringing small to medium retailers up to speed with their larger corporate competition, and levelling the field of online retail. Retailers now have a straightforward journey to complete sales, safe in the knowledge that their payment function is top-notch when it comes to tech.
