Visualsoft partners with GrowNation to help Garden Centres get online

Visualsoft is delighted to announce a partnership with GrowNation, the online garden retail marketplace which will enable Garden Centres to start trading online quickly.

The horticultural sector has been significantly impacted by COVID-19 with many retailers being unable to trade due to their reliance on footfall.

Garden Centres who have never traded before online will now be able to do so via the scheme. Retailers will pay no up-front fees, instead, the business model is completely commission based, with credit card and PayPal transaction fees absorbed by GrowNation as part of the service.

The initiative will also help to support two of the UK’s horticultural charities Perennial and Greenfingers. GrowNation and Visualsoft will each donate 1% of every website's sale commission for the first six months. This donation will continue to fund the vital work of both charities.

Tim Johnson, Visualsoft’s Chief Sales Officer said: “We are delighted to be chosen as GrowNation's tech partner. It is a fantastic project which supports one of the country’s key retail sectors. We are extremely proud to be involved.

Steve Meleka, GrowNation’s Managing Director said: “The next few weeks are a crucial part of the year even in normal circumstances, but with social distancing measures in place, garden retailers may only reach up to 40% of their usual footfall. Our partnership with Visualsoft will allow customers to view and order products online before collecting them safely from the retailer’s car park. Vulnerable customers - and staff - will appreciate the additional safety this provides.”
