This feature is the integration of the Vend EPOS and Inventory Management system (vendhq.com) with a Visualsoft store, using the TIDEConnects cloud subscription service. TIDE automates many time consuming processes, enabling the retailer to focus on running their business.
The integration supports the automation of a number of business processes:
\- Product Management
\- Inventory Synchronisation
\- Sales Order Processing
\- Loyalty balance synchronisation
Product Management assumes that Vend is the master for all products. When new products are added to Vend, a draft product is created in Visualsoft. Data transferred includes Product Sku, Product Name, Product Description, Product Price, Category, Tags, Product Cost, plus any Images stored in Vend. TIDE provides full support for product variations like size and colour. Once the draft is in Visualsoft, then the full array of Visualsoft tools can be used to add descriptive information and SEO to the products before they are published.
When an existing product is updated in Vend, the product in Visualsoft is updated with all changes. Options are available to ensure that images, category, product name and descriptions in Visualsoft are not overwritten.
Products are synchronised in real-time so as soon as a change is made in Vend, it will be transferred to Visualsoft.
Inventory or stock levels are synchronised between Vend and Visualsoft in real-time. Whenever stock changes in Vend, i.e. a sale is made in store, or a sale is made online or new stock is received, the resulting Vend stock level is immediately synchronised in Visualsoft for any product that has changed. Support is also provided for syncing stock levels between multiple warehouse or store locations in Vend and the multi-warehouse functionality in Visualsoft.
\*\*Sales Order Processing\*\*
TIDE queries Visualsoft every five minutes to pick up any new sales orders. If new orders are found, TIDE extracts details about the products and quantities purchased, prices paid, payment method, shipment charges, taxes paid and customer details and creates an order in Vend. The sales are typically written to a dedicated eCom register in Vend so that sales can be separately reported. Stock levels are updated for products sold and a new customer record is created if it doesn’t already exist, using Customer email as the key.
\*\*Loyalty Programme Exchange\*\*
If a business has a points-based Loyalty scheme, then loyalty balances can be exchanged between Vend and Visualsoft. Points can be redeemed in with Vend or Visualsoft and the corresponding changes in Loyalty balance synchronised between the two systems.
If any additional functionality is required other than as described, please let us know prior to production as this may incur additional development costs. Please also note that to enable this feature, you will require a subscription to the TIDEConnects service as well as a subscription for Vend, and are responsible for all associated costs.
