We are looking for an energetic and inquisitive salesperson to join our sales team. You will work closely with our Business Development and Online Marketing departments to identify and effectively engage with retailers to identify opportunities to grow their business and demonstrate our award-winning web solutions.

As a Business Development Consultant, you will play a key role within the Sales Team, being a forward facing sales professional focussing on New Business opportunity qualifying only.

You will have a positive personality and hold the ability to spot new business opportunities. You will work within a specific sector that you will be expected to become an expert in. You will take an interest in learning about Visualsoft’s clients within your sector, and how you can use this knowledge to persuade prospects during discovery phone calls that Visualsoft is the best provider for their eCommerce platform and digital marketing.

What you'll be doing

  • Identify key strategic prospects for Visualsoft to partner with.
  • Research the prospect to have relevant and meaningful conversations with them.
  • Use industry knowledge to spot and maximise any opportunity to bring on new business.
  • Work to targets and set KPIs on a daily, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Work with the wider Sales Team of BDMs to help achieve the overall Sales Team target.
  • Hit the monthly target for new leads generated for the BDMs to work to convert to new business.
  • Identify on strategy prospects for Visualsoft to work with.
  • Use industry knowledge to spot and maximise any opportunity to bring on new business.

What we'll need to see

  • A knowledge or appreciation of eCommerce and/or Online Marketing
  • Well presented, well-spoken, articulate and professional
  • Experience of Outbound B2B Telesales with a proven track record of success
  • Determination, drive and the willingness to learn
  • Good communication skills across all levels
  • Professionalism, integrity and a strong work ethic
  • Highly motivated in a target driven environment
  • Able to take feedback and guidance from management
  • Capable of working within a team or unsupervised
  • Hunger and drive for business development
  • A positive can-do attitude and eagerness to learn
