Kahua began in 2005 as a record store in Middlesbrough in the north-east of England, specialising in 12" dance vinyl records, CDs and DJ equipment. After 3 years of successful trading online and in-store, it was decided to concentrate all efforts on the web and sell solely online.
Kahua was awarded 'Cool Cuts' status in 2006, placing it amongst the top 20 tastemaker record stores in the UK. Part of Kahua's success is down to constantly staying ‘on the ball’, with new records arriving several times a week alongside an extensive back catalogue including many rare and sought after gems.
