Our very own Director Dean Benson was in the headlines again this week as he gets set to face a challenge even bigger than building eCommerce web designers and developers Visualsoft.
As reported last month in the ‘In The Office’ section of this blog, Dean is set to jet off to Switzerland in July to undertake a one-day gruelling 2.5 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride followed by a 26 mile run all in the aid of raising at least £20,000 for local charities.
The nebusiness section which is included in both the Evening Gazette and The Journal, which has featured reports on our website design and development and DesignerClothing.com among others in the past, this week caught up with our very own ‘Iron Man’ to report on his preparation for the challenge.
Dean revealed that he was so worried about his fitness levels that he has stayed away from alcohol and fast food in his preparation for the event. Dean told nebusiness: “It didn’t seem like a good idea when I was in the Lakes the other week. I had to have a water while the others were having a beer!”
As we all know at Visualsoft, Dean is used to making sacrifices after working around the clock to build us into an established national company in the eCommerce website design industry. Along with fellow Director Richard Bendelow, the pair have overseen Visualsoft capitalise in the surge in online retailing and have trebled our workforce since 2008.
Dean said that he is confident that we can keep ahead of the pack in the eCommerce web design market, but admits he is less sure he can keep up when he embarks on his Iron Man challenge next month.
Dean said: “My fitness isn’t the best so it will be tough, but I don’t do anything by half-measures. If I’m going to do something, I’ll put 100% effort in.”
Everyone at Visualsoft will be rooting for Dean next month, and in addition to everyone here he has also received a lot of support on internet forums.
