Visualsoft set to become the ‘largest national player in eCommerce’

The success of Visualsoft has once again attracted the interest of the media.

The Evening Gazette has today published a report on our company’s recent success and our aims for the future.  The article was published in the newspaper on Monday 27th July 2009 and can be read in full below:

STOCKTON-BASED Visualsoft, which is due to launch an online designer clothing portal within weeks, said it was on track to become the largest national player in e-commerce after attracting interest from a number of national chains.

The company – which recently moved from Preston Farm to new offices on the Portrack Lane estate, almost doubling its workforce – has put hundreds of thousands of pounds behind the launch of which gives high end fashion retailers an advertising platform similar to that offered by RightMove to estate agents.

“We take on as much work nationally now as we do locally,” said joint founder and director Dean Benson. “Seventy percent of the work we do is website redevelopment of existing sites that are not doing anything for the client, or should be doing a lot more. We are winning business off large players in the market place. Within a very short period of time we are going to be the largest player in ecommerce, which is phenomenal.”

Mr Benson said 200 firms had already signed up to become part of  “The majority are major fashion retailers who have existing websites – clients buy from their sites, but we act as the advertising platform. It’s going to be revolutionary.”

Designerclothing will become parent company Visualsoft’s biggest single client for web development.

“Visualsoft is now self-financing,” said Mr Benson, who insisted there were no plans to sell the company.

“No doubt offers will come in, but we are in it for the long term.”
