Here at Visualsoft we’re very pleased to announce that we’ll be working with local design college, Cleveland College of Art and Design in the coming months on various projects and events.
Cleveland College of Art & Design is a small and friendly college, with exceptional art and design courses for those aged between 16-19. The College also offers a range of higher education courses at Degree level, giving students the chance to work towards a degree whist studying more locally in either the Hartlepool or Middlesbrough campus.
As well as offering support to the current students studying at the college, Visualsoft will also be getting involved with the academic side of things, and the first project in the pipeline has been delivered this week. Students have first of all been set a live brief, which will count towards their final grade for the first year of study. The brief is to design a piece of artwork for the Visualsoft office, which can be displayed in client meeting rooms. This is a very simple brief which gives the students the opportunity to use their imagination – all they are asked to do is stick to the VS branding guidelines and incorporate our eye-catching colour scheme of black, white and red.
Sarah, our PR and Events Manager has been working with some of the students along with our Design Manager Ade on the project. Speaking about the new partnership, she said ‘Its great news for both VS and CCAD to be working together, and were looking forward to seeing what the students come up with for the brief which we’ve set them. Some of our biggest industry partners including Paypal, eBay, Amazon and Google are regular visitors at Gloucester House now, so this is a great opportunity for up and coming talent to show what they can really do in terms of Graphic Communication and Design’
