Etail webstores are more commonly known as online stores or <a href="http://www.visualsoft.co.uk"title="eCommerce" >ecommerce websites. Etail (sometimes hyphenated as e-tail or e-tailoring) is a definition derived from “e-mail“, the term used for electronic mail and refers to electronic retail (or <a href="http://www.visualsoft.co.uk/ecommerce-services-1.html"title="online retail" >online retail usually via an ecommerce store). An etail webstore is just another term for a website that sells products online.

There are obvious benefits to having an etail webstore rather than a physical store (such as reduced overheads) but in order to have a successful etail webstore it is vital that you consider traditional retail rules and adopt them online in your etail webstore. You will need to setup cross-selling, up-selling, customer service tools and an optimised checkout process to ensure maximum conversions and return on investment.

Our expertise in <a href="/website-design-5.html"title="website design" >website design will ensure that your etail webstore rises above the competition from the moment a customer visits your web page. Having worked with some of the biggest names in the fashion industry and beyond we are perfectly suited to build the best possible solution for your etail webstore that is tailored specifically to your business.

You will also need to market and promote your etail webstore, through both SEO (<a href="/search-engine-optimisation-9.html"title="search engine optimisation" >search engine optimisation) and paid for marketing. In order to truly <a href="/search-engine-optimisation-9.html"title="seo" >SEO etail webstores you will need to use the services of an SEO specialist, with so many companies claiming to specialise in etail webstore SEO it is vital that you ask for examples of their success, request a free SEO appraisal (which most will SEO specialists provide if they are genuine and provide a quality service) and most importantly request a fully itemised breakdown of the SEO work they intend to carry out on a monthly basis for your etail webstore.

Karin Von Abrams, who works for eMarketer, said that UK firms have already made giant strides in adopting cross-channel campaigns, while agencies are increasingly adept at producing integrated strategies that combined internet marketing services and TV or mobile to drive customer engagement.

She said: “It is now clear that every brand or business can benefit in some way from building awareness online or from rethinking its business processes to make full use of digital channels.”

Figures published last week by Nielsen revealed that global spending on advertising rose by 12.5% year-on-year during the first quarter of 2010 to stand at £65.4 billion. Investment in internet marketing also rose by 12% over the same period.

Visualsoft have just recently added several new members to our own <a href="/search-engine-marketing-7.html"title="online marketing" >Online Marketing Team to cope with this growing demand.
At Technology For Marketing & Advertising (TFM&A), the UK’s largest marketing event grew even bigger, as over 10,000 marketing, media and advertising professionals walked through the doors of Earls Court 2 on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th February to attend what has been described by Chris Underhill, CEO of smartFocus as “the busiest we have ever seen the show”.

TFM&A has enjoyed phenomenal growth since its launch 10 years ago. Back in 2001 TFM was a niche technology show focusing largely on CRM and Data solutions. With the explosion of digital within the industry, and the strategic addition of the ‘advertising’ arm to the show in 2007, TFM&A’s growth has been unprecedented with visitor numbers growing cumulatively by 107% in the last 3 years alone.

With more sessions that ever before, the free education sessions were packed to the rafters with 6126 seats filled during the 2 day seminar programme which comprised 5 themed seminar theatres covering digital marketing, content management & <a href="http://www.visualsoft.co.uk"title="eCommerce" >ecommerce, online advertising & <a href="http://www.visualsoft.co.uk/social-commerce-30.html"title="social media" >social media, CRM & campaign management software, and data & marketing analytics. A further 788 attended the ever-popular CIM Marketing Experience, 629 visitors experienced first-hand digital expertise in the Econsultancy Integrated Marketing Training programme, and the brand new Sift Social Media for Marketing Theatre also drew huge crowds with 580 visitors in attendance and many spilling out into the aisles not to miss it.

The ‘tremendous ten’ keynotes were delivered to a crowd of 3320 and featured Google, Econsultancy, AMV.BBDO, YouTube, Gyro:HSR, industry guru Dr Dave Chaffey, <a href="http://www.visualsoft.co.uk/social-commerce-30.html"title="facebook" >Facebook, digital media visionary Jay Stevens of The Rubicon Project, and an exhilarating CRM panel debate hosted by MyCustomer.com and featuring Microsoft, RightNow, Salesforce.com and Oracle. To accommodate demand, all sessions were filmed and will be available online to all attendees.

The showfloor presented a diverse range of digital, data and CRM solutions from industry leading suppliers, and was this year supplemented by the brand new Direct Marketing Zone, ensuring visitors needing truly integrated marketing and advertising campaigns were well catered for. A record 83% of stand space was rebooked for the 2011 event, with all key stand positions rebooked onsite, firmly confirming TFM&A’s position as the UK’s leading event for the marketing & advertising industry.

We are glad to confirm that our attendance for the 2011 event is already confirmed!

Kelkoo is a popular shopping comparison search engine which allows its users to find products on different websites and compare the products by parameters such as price, brand, and delivery costs.

Visualsoft have developed a Kelkoo feed that automatically sends your lists of products through to Kelkoo every single day, a great way to expand and widen your <a href="/search-engine-marketing-7.html"title="online marketing" >online marketing. This saves you plenty of time due to the fact you no longer have to manually log into Kelkoo and upload each product one by one.

The feed runs automatically so that any changes to products, such as prices, descriptions and titles, or new/sold out products are sent through without any manual work having to be done. Full tracking is put onto the Kelkoo links so that a full return on investment model can be put in place to see the effectiveness of Kelkoo.
