Online sales soar for etailers

A number of UK etailers have announced tremendous Christmas trade. In particular, Boxing Day is being reported as the busiest day in 2010 for eCommerce with visits to websites 12% higher than pre-Christmas traffic peaks, according to Experian Hitwise. A new study shows that the Internet contributes an astounding £100bn per year to the UK economy, with around 60% of that figure attributed to online shopping, plus the cost of connections and devices to access the web.
