A survey conducted by online address auto-fill company, Postcode Anywhere, has revealed that over a third of consumers in the UK would regard a quick and simple checkout process to be at the top of their list for online shopping requirements online. The survey asked 1,000 consumers what would be the most important factor when shopping online for goods, and of the respondents 39% rated a speedy checkout process as important and 38% as very important, resulting in 77% of respondents...

Fashion giant ASOS has released new stats this week which reveal that half year profits leading up to September 2011 have soared by 66% to £11.7m. Overseas revenue, which now accounts for 58% of group sales, increased 150% while UK revenue grew by 8%. ASOS retail margin was up £170bn and its gross margin up £10bn year on year. According to recent research published by Unilever, eCommerce customers are up to 15% more brand loyal than high street customers. The latest figures published by the IMRG Capgemini e-Retail Sales Index have shown that September of this year was a strong month for online retailing, with the Index climbing 15% when compared to September 2010. Home improvements and DIY store Wickes has revealed it is planning to reduce its bricks store floor space by almost a third as its online trading has increased by a massive 70%.
