Online sales boost of almost a fifth in April
increased by a whopping 18% when compared to the same period in 2011.
The Office for National Statistics released the figures this week, which recorded average weekly internet sales in April to be £489.0 million. As well as an increase on last year's figures, April was also up on the previous month when an average of £485.4m was spent each week. Online sales accounted for 8.5% of all retail sales in the month.
