The fifteenth annual Fast Track 100 League Table supplement, which aims to highlight the UK’s top-performing private companies and entrepreneurs, was published in The Sunday Times yesterday. Despite the recent downturn, over the past three years companies increased sales on average 87% per year from a combined total of £714m to £4bn, and collectively the companies in the league have created more than 13,000 new jobs and now employ 18,200 people.
The league table features household brands such as Cath Kidston, Ella’s Kitchen, Jack Wills, Joules and Patisserie Valerie, as well as Visualsoft’s very own Menkind which entered the league table at number 95. Pharmaceutical services provider, Clinigen Group, was at the top of the league, which had it’s huge sales increase to thank for the high position, with stats rocketing by 242% a year to £35m.
Menkind offers a wide range of unique and unusual gifts, such as Star Trek Captain Kirk dressing gowns to self-stirring tea mugs. Menkind has 42 branches now open in the UK, with another due to open later this week, as well as the online store which was designed and developed by Visualsoft. The Surrey-based company has been busy strengthening its online presence in recent years, with the help of Visualsoft and our Online Marketing team, which has resulted in sales increasing by a massive 51% a year, and the store entering The Times Fast Track 100 League Table in 2011.
