A TEES Valley web company has beaten nearly two million entrants from across the globe to a international design award.
Stockton-based e-commerce company Visualsoft has won the Design of the Year Award from the 2009 Punctum Day Awards.
The award was in recognition of the design it created for the online store of Jonathan Trumbull and Hatters, a Norwich-based clothing boutique.
Dean Benson, director of Visualsoft, says: “Being named as the company behind the Design of the Year is a tremendous accolade – not least because there were over 1,750,000 entries submitted.
“We’re incredibly proud and will continue to develop ecommerce solutions that not only successfully increase sales, but also lead the way in terms of design and aesthetic.”
The Punctum Day Awards, now in their third year, are hosted by iStock Photo and aim to highlight outstanding quality and artistic merit.
Adrian Foster, senior designer at Visualsoft, who was behind the winning entry says: “We’re absolutely thrilled to receive the award which signifies recognition from both our design peers and leading industry experts.”
Visualsoft works for about 300 clients, including businesses such as Charles Clinkard, Jules B and Psyche.
