A special offers section, often referred to as a sale section, is a great way to promote certain products, departments or specific brands.
Products appearing with a sale or special offer price are highlighted in their own department on the website. The special offer products are also listed under their normal category, with their original price crossed out and the sale price listed.
On the product page, the price is also shown to be a special offer price. As you would expect, products on sale receive more exposure when listed at a sale price, providing a greater chance of these items selling.
