Customer Accounts are often termed “My Account” on eCommerce websites. The Customer Accounts facility stores the customer’s delivery details, previous order history and the order status of any current orders in the website.
The website user or customer must firstly login to the Customer Accounts section of the website under “My Account” to access this information. The benefits of a Customer Accounts section are that user information can be retained for marketing purposes and users do not have the repeat input of information. In turn, this leads to fast purchasing experience and greater conversion rates.
